Isaac Brody Short Biography:

Isaac Brody was born in 1979 in Iowa City, Iowa. He moved when he was four to follow his fathers work with the United Nations Children's Fund. (UNICEF) Over the next thirteen years Isaac lived overseas in Nigeria, Turkey, Pakistan, and China. The constant change of environment and cultural exposure led to Isaac's birth as a writer and storyteller. At first he wrote to escape the turmoil and lack of stability from constantly moving. Later he found an outlet for his experiences and creative voice.

Isaac attended Tufts University where he studied English and Film. After graduation Isaac produced international documentary for the United Nations Children’s Fund. (UNICEF) He worked with Swazi journalist James Hall and co-produced three documentaries for UNICEF Swaziland. Isaac oversaw production of Sipho and Joyce, Every Child has a Voice, and Hope Lives Here, three documentaries that cover the topics of HIV and AIDS and AIDS orphans. UNICEF Swaziland also commissioned Isaac and James Hall to produce numerous video projects and news segments for national broadcast on Swazi television.

Isaac’s documentaries are distributed in over 27 countries and are helping promote awareness of AIDS in Africa and UNICEF’s campaign to help orphans and vulnerable children. Recently, Isaac’s documentary Sipho and Joyce played in the 2005 Boston International Film Festival and the 2005 Zimbabwe International Film Festival.

He currently attends New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts Graduate Film Program.
